Important Technology Policy Update
Casa Grande Union High School District has revised District Regulation IJNB – Use of Technology Resources in the Classroom to clarify the use of glasses and eyewear with photo and video recording capabilities.
![]()
Glasses capable of taking photos or recording videos are strictly prohibited in the classroom due to privacy and academic integrity concerns that are difficult to monitor.
This prohibition applies even when the glasses are prescription eyewear and includes smart glasses, such as Meta glasses, and other eyewear with recording capabilities.
Our goal is to protect student and staff privacy while maintaining a learning environment that supports academic integrity. We appreciate our students and families for helping us uphold these expectations.

Important Technology Regulation Clarification
We want to clarify information shared in our recent communication regarding smart glasses.
Glasses capable of taking photographs or recording video are strictly prohibited anywhere on CGUHSD school campuses—not just in classrooms.
This includes smart glasses with built-in cameras or recording capabilities. This regulation is intended to protect student and staff privacy, safety, and academic integrity.
We apologize for any confusion caused by our previous wording and appreciate your understanding as we work to keep our school environments safe and respectful for everyone.
