ACT - American College Test

The ACT is a college entrance exam, assessing high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay. ACT provides educational and career planning for students at every level.

AIMS as a Graduation Requirement
Pursuant to ARS 15-701-01, the state Board of Education is required to “develop and adopt competency tests for graduation of pupils from high school in at least the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics and shall establish passing scores for each such test.”
