2007-2008 is my 31st
year of teaching overall and my 4th year at Casa Grande. I
will be teaching Chemistry and Honors Biology this year. I moved to Casa Grande from Muscatine, Iowa
in July of 2004 after teaching for 24 years in that district. I received a Bachelor’s degree from
State College of Iowa (now U. of
Northern Iowa), and a Master’s
degree in Geology from the U.
of Iowa. I also studied at the University of Pittsburgh
and Michigan
State University.
I have been married for 30 wonderful years… 30 out of 38
years is not bad! My wife Judy and
I have two children and each of them has provided us with one grandchild,
Lucas and Jordyn. My favorite
pastime is working with my amateur radio station from which I have talked
to 334 countries around the world, mostly on CW or Morse code. My two most memorable events were when
I went to Mozambique
in 2006 to operate for two weeks and in 2005 I was able to communicate
with 17 different stations by bouncing my radio signals off the moon.
