BIO/PERSONAL BACKGROUND – LARRY DELBRIDGE
EXPERIENCE: The school year 2008-2009 will be
Mr. Delbridge’s 35th year of teaching, however, his first at
Casa Grande Union High School (CGUHS).
His previous teaching experience included 33 years teaching and coaching
at Coolidge High School (CHS).
During his tenure at CHS, Mr. Delbridge was the head Football
Coach for 19 years, and he won two State Championship Titles. He served as Athletic Director for 19
years, and he coached Track, Basketball and Golf at Coolidge.
EDUCATION: Mr. Delbridge graduated from Coolidge High School in 1969. Following high school, he attended
Arizona State University (ASU) on a football scholarship and graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973. In 1976, Mr. Delbridge received a
Master’s Degree in Education from ASU.
TEACHING: This school year, Mr.
Delbridge will be teaching Weight-Training, Intro to Physical Education
and one Health class at CGUHS.
EXTRA
CURRICULAR: Mr. Delbridge has been married
to his wife, Sally, for 36 years and he has two children. His daughter, Dawn Dee Hodge, teaches
math at CGUHS, and his son, Christopher, is a Radiologist at Maricopa County Hospital. In his spare time, Mr. Delbridge enjoys
playing golf and spending time with his family.
