Kathy Sweeney is a CTE
teacher and the director of the Early Childhood Education Program. She is also the director of the Cougar
Cub Preschool. Ms. Sweeney has been in the education field for 36 years and
has been at Casa
Grande High
School for 25years. She graduated from Arizona State
University with a
BS degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
She has over 70 graduate hours in Family Life Studies and Early childhood
Education. Ms. Sweeney’s class is
open to sophomores through seniors who have an interest in becoming a
teacher or a professional in the Early Childhood area. Her class is a college articulated
class through CAC and her students
can earn from 3-12 college credit hours. The students actually plan and
teach the lessons for the Cougar Cub Preschool and her advanced students
plan all the field trips and programs for the year. All Ms Sweeney’s
students work in the preschool which has 24 three, four and five year
olds.
