I have been in the education field
for 20 years in one way or the other.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Family and Consumer Science Education
with a Career and Technical Education endorsement.
Previous to teaching at CGUHS I
taught in Flagstaff, AZ.
I was responsible for setting up and developing the Child Care
program, a licensed Child Care Facility, Culinary Program, and a Licensed
Restaurant. I ran these programs
with the help of the students.
While there I also articulated my upper division classes with a
community college so that my students could get college credit while in
my class.
This is my first year at CGUHS. I teach Culinary Arts 1-2, Breakfast
Club, and Advanced Culinary Arts 3-4.
I am so excited to be here working with students again.
I find the culinary field exciting
and get great fulfillment working with the high school students as they
gain knowledge. I also provide
opportunities for students who are interested in culinary competitions to
further their skills and possibly go on to get a post high school degree
in the industry.
