My name is Amanda
Beery. I am from Grand Island,
Nebraska. I earned a Bachelors of Arts in
Education- Mathematics from the University
of Nebraska at Kearney in 1998 and a Masters of Arts
for Teachers of Mathematics in 2006.
I started teaching math
in January of 1999. I taught in Nebraska until I moved to Arizona in July of 2004.
I love helping others
to see and appreciate the beauty that I find in mathematics. I have a strong passion for mathematics
education. I believe that all
students can succeed and understand math.
I currently teach AP
Statistics, Geometry and Algebra.
I am also an adjunct faculty member at Chandler Gilbert
Community College.
When I am not teaching
I love to cook and spend time with family. I have six “children”: 3 cats and 3
dogs. They keep me very busy and
entertained.
