Instruction

  • We will use multiple instructional strategies to instruct our students based on their needs
  • We will design an instruction that is student centered, well differentiated, to keep them well engaged and influence their learning styles

  • We will facilitate active and critical learning to guide progressive and successful learning
  • We will provide positive reinforcement/feedback for what students are doing right (4:1 ratio per research) to help students see themselves as successful learners

Curriculum

  • We will provide authentic context in which to provide curriculum in order to ensure content is interesting and relatable
  • We will learn the curriculum (Edgenuity) in order to provide informed guidance to the students and to develop help where students have difficulties.
  • We will teach them the skills and concepts to enable them to understand their questions.
  • We will find pathways to supplement the Edgenuity curriculum when it may not meet our student’s needs.
  • We will collaborate in content-specific areas as well as a big groups to ensure student success and retention of student knowledge
  • We will make sure that curriculum is aligned to the Common Core Standards, and we will ensure that objectives are given across the content areas. The curriculum will be rigorous and challenging
  • We will use content (curriculum) that is related to student interest
  • We will use available resources to provide a comprehensive core curriculum
